The guest speaker is John Norman Mclean, a journalist and author who has written five books on fatal wildland fires and a memoir, Home Wates: A Chronicle of Family and a River. He is the son of Norman Maclean, author of A River Runs Through It and Young Men and Fire, and grandson of the minister John Norman Maclen.
John will talk about several topics including his book Home Waters, aging and fishing, and the upcoming 50th anniversary (2026) of his fathers' book: A River Runs Through It. He will have books available for purchase (cash sales preferred) and he will be signing books.
John donated a first edition copy of A River Runs Through It to be raffled off at the meeting; Proceeds benefit the chapter.
John Hadley will be tying a Mini-Bugger, starting at 5:30. Come early and tie along with John Hadley and browse the shop.
